Pima Tray
Pima, or Akimel O’odham, meaning the River People. This Pima tray is a very nice example of early 1900’s work; the weave is tight and even, using willow and devil’s claw on bundled warp. The patina has a wonderful sheen. Diameter 17” x height 3.5”.

Apache Tray
Apache, probably Havasupai, with a negative diamond rattlesnake band about the rim, a seven-pointed star on the base. This is a very tight, fine weave making use of the traditional Apache willow rod foundation, or warp, with willow and devil’s claw weave. Diameter 13” x height 3 3/4”. ca. 1910-1930.

Pottery by Santana and Adam
A San Illdefonso black pot signed Adam and Santana, 4 1/2 “ tall x 4 3/4” wide. Adam was the son of the famous potter Maria Martinez and throughout his life helped with her pottery. His wife Santana, painted many pots for Maria. In their later years, Adam (1901-2000) and Santana (1909 - 2002) made beautiful pottery together. This is a a superb example, very graceful shape and painted with the difficult feather design.
