Artist Comments

This saddle is a very old Blackfeet Woman's saddle.  This is what they used to ride, pack items, drag travois, and tee pee poles with, also tied young children in to teach how to ride a horse.  This is made of buffalo rawhide, dates pre 1880's.  A rare find for the collector of Plains Indian items!
