Artist Comments

"The Long Throw" is a water color by Leonard Reedy, 1899 - 1956.  As a child Reedy developed an aptitude for drawing, attempting to reproduce the style and subject matter of Frederic Remington, the dominant western illustrator of the first half of the twentieth century.  He later enrolled and attended the Chicago Institute and Academy of Fine Arts.  He has produced many fine water color images of the old west, mainly depicting cowboys and Indians.

This older painting is very well done and has a particularly nice frame with a felt mat surrounding the image.  Image size is 8" x 11".

We have had paintings by Reedy over the years and they are always popular and don't last long!
