A nice early rug from 1920 era. If you look closely, you can pick out design or pattern elements from the well known "Storm" pattern, originally a JB Moore plate rug, many were later woven on the western regions and referred to as "Tuba City Storm". The design layout on this piece seems like a very modified version with the basic cross extending to the four corners, central cross and smaller side square shapes on the sides called "the guardians". A nice weaving of hand spun yarn, sized at 36" x 53".
