Here is a great"diamond twill" weaving!   19" x 39"   This weaving style is very complex, difficult and challenging.  Navajo twill weavings are currently rarely woven and mainly by a few elderly weavers who remember this weaving technique.  They are not only beautiful, but very tough, often were woven as saddle blankets.  This piece was woven by Elizabeth Tom, Dineh, who is 97 years young!   On a personal note, Dave bought a Navajo twill weave saddle blanket from the old Farmer Service Store (where the Fire House is now located)  Big Timber in 1972 for $100!  Used for many miles with little wear,, not used these days except in wonderful memories!
