Gallup Throws are small weavings historically were sold at tourist shops near railroad stations, starting in Gallup, New Mexico. The weavings were too small to be used as rugs, instead intended as tabletop mats or wall hangings. Almost always fell in the size range of 20" x 39". Most were woven on cotton string warp which was cut off at the top end of loom and left as a fringe on one end. This is a new weaving by Celesio O'Neele.
